Our Health and Wellbeing Curriculum
As well as our monthly whole school Health and Wellbeing initiatives pupils also have a wide range of other opportunities to learn how to support their own Health and Wellbeing.
Our Thrive St Paul's Offer provides all pupils with a series of progressive learning opportunities linked to Health and Wellbeing from Nursery to Year 6.
We place a huge emphasis on the importance of outdoor learning as a tool to support Health and Wellbeing. All pupils from Nursery to Year 6 take part in our Outdoor Learning St Paul's Offer, where they have Forest school sessions, Coastal education and have many opportunities linked to the importance of becoming more sustainable by growing their own fruits and vegetables in our edible garden.
Our PE curriculum teaches our pupils about how important staying physically active is for their Health and Wellbeing. Pupils take part in a wide range of activities, from dance and creative movement to competitive sporting games and gymnastics.
Pupils have opportunities to explore how mindfulness can support their Health and Wellbeing. Activities teaching children breathing techniques, mindfulness movements and the importance of talking about their feelings are widely used across our school.
