Additional Learning Needs

In Wales, the law has been changed surrounding Special Educational Needs. This is now known as Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Rights Respecting School

All children have the right to an education that is fitted to them. Through the Additional Learning needs Provision at St Paul's, the duty bearers (adults) work to enshrine the rights that the rights holders (our children) have. With regard to ALN this could be in the form of education that is unique to them, the respect of children of all ability, the provision of adjustments for those children who have challenges accessing education because of a disability. The school puts the rights of all of our children at the heart of what we do in order for them to know how much they are valued.
